The Virginia Tech Public History Department is proud to have partnerships with cultural organizations in the local community, such as:

Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation                                                                                       The Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation is dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and promoting Blacksburg’s historic, artistic, and cultural heritage. The organization was formed by the Blacksburg Town Council in 2010 to raise funds for the restoration of the Alexander Black House. The Foundation is an independent organization that the Town has entrusted to oversee all museum and cultural operations, including the management and oversight of the Alexander Black House, as well as St. Luke and Odd Fellows Hall.

Montgomery Museum and Lewis Miller Art Center
The Montgomery Museum and Lewis Miller Regional Art Center focuses on the preservation, collection, exhibition and interpretation of Montgomery County history and art.  Through exhibits, the museum celebrates the history and cultural heritage of the town, region, community, local businesses, industry, and more.  Rotating exhibits also feature both historic and contemporary artwork and it is also a mission of the museum to encourage local artists through  artists receptions, exhibit openings, and other events throughout the year.
